Chapter: The best property of a Muslim will be sheep
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When you hear the crowing of roosters, ask for Allah's Blessings for (their crowing indicates that) they have seen an angel. And when you hear the braying of donkeys, seek Refuge with Allah from Satan for (their braying indicates) that they have seen a Satan." - Sahih:Al Bukhari:3303 (islam)
Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? - Quran:Al-Ghashiyah 88:17 (islam)
-What about Darwin?
- Do you have to be a creationist to be a Good Muslim?
Do they not see the birds controlled in the atmosphere of the sky? None holds them up except Allah. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe. - Quran:An-Nahl 16:79 (islam)
-How come we understand how birds fly and it has not magic?
Chapter: Employing oxen for ploughing
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "While a man was riding a cow, it turned towards him and said, 'I have not been created for this purpose (i.e. carrying), I have been created for ploughing." The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "I, Abu Bakr and `Umar believe in the story." The Prophet (ﷺ) went on, "A wolf caught a sheep, and when the shepherd chased it, the wolf said, 'Who will be its guard on the day of wild beasts, when there will be no shepherd for it except me?' "After narrating it, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I, Abu Bakr and `Umar too believe it." Abu Salama (a sub-narrator) said, "Abu Bakr and `Umar were not present then." - Sahih:Al Bukhari:2324 (islam)
[18]Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not."
[19]So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants." - Quran:An-Naml 27:18:19 (islam)
-Is it a metaphysical matter or does solomon really heard the ant talking?
- Is it because he is a prophet?
- Is the Quran have to be understood litteraly?
- If not, can you eat pork today?
- How can you sift throughout the quran to separate what is litteral rom what is not?
- What do the exegets says about that?
So, We said, "Strike the slain man with part of it." Thus does Allah bring the dead to life, and He shows you His signs that you might reason. - Quran:Al-Baqarah 2:73 (islam)
-Does anyone try that?
- Who thinks hitting a dead body with a peace of cow can resurrect anyone?
Chapter: The food gained as war booty in the battlefield
Narrated Ibn Abi `Aufa:
We were afflicted with hunger during the besiege of Khaibar, and when it was the day of (the battle of) Khaibar, we slaughtered the donkeys and when the pots got boiling (with their meat). Allah's Apostle made an announcement that all the pots should be upset and that nobody should eat anything of the meat of the donkeys. We thought that the Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited that because the Khumus had not been taken out of the booty (i.e. donkeys); other people said, "He prohibited eating them for ever." The sub-narrator added, "I asked Sa`id bin Jubair who said, 'He has made the eating of donkeys' meat illegal for ever.") - Sahih:Al Bukhari:3155 (islam)
-Is it still applicable today?
- What will happen to a Muslim who eat a donkey?
- What will happen to a non-Muslim?
- Is it possible to change that today?
He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. - Quran:Al-Baqarah 2:173 (islam)
-Is it valid for all time?
- Is it because of sanitary reasons?
- What about the flesh dedicated to other than Allah?
- Even with the invention of the fridge?
- Billions of people had eaten and will eat swine flesh, is there any problem?
- Is it a Divine command or just the opinion of a 7-century illiterate desert dweller?
Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. - Quran:Al-Ma'idah 5:3 (islam)
-Why is that, do you go to hell if you draw lots?
- Is this valid for all time?
- What about the use of capture bolt gun (instantaneous death, without the need to cut the throat), is it hallal?
Chapter: If a housefly falls in a utensil
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If a fly falls in the vessel of any of you, let him dip all of it (into the vessel) and then throw it away, for in one of its wings there is a disease and in the other there is healing (antidote for it) i e. the treatment for that disease." - Sahih:Al Bukhari:5782 (islam)
Chapter: What has been said regarding (re)conciliation between the people
Narrated Anas:
It was said to the Prophet (ﷺ) "Would that you see `Abdullah bin Ubai." So, the Prophet (ﷺ) went to him, riding a donkey, and the Muslims accompanied him, walking on salty barren land. When the Prophet (ﷺ) reached `Abdullah bin Ubai, the latter said, "Keep away from me! By Allah, the bad smell of your donkey has harmed me." On that an Ansari man said (to `Abdullah), "By Allah! The smell of the donkey of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) is better than your smell." On that a man from `Abdullah's tribe got angry for `Abdullah's sake, and the two men abused each other which caused the friends of the two men to get angry, and the two groups started fighting with sticks, shoes and hands. We were informed that the following Divine Verse was revealed (in this concern):-- "And if two groups of Believers fall to fighting then, make peace between them." (49.9) - Sahih:Al Bukhari:2691 (islam)
-If the Quran was written 50 thousand years before the creation of earth, how come a donkey can prompt Allah to reveal a piece of the Quran?
Chapter: Killing Snakes Etc.
Asma' b. 'Ubaid reported about a person who was called as-Sa'ib having said:
We visited Abu Sa'id Khudri. When we had been sitting (with him) we heard a stir under his bed. When we looked we found a big snake, the rest of the hadith is the same. And in this Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) is reported to have said: Verily in these houses there live aged (snakes), so when you see one of them, make life hard for it for three days, and if it goes away (well and good), otherwise kill it for (in that case) it would be a nonbeliever. And he (the Holy Prophet) said (to his Companions): Go and bury your companion (who had died by the snake bite). - Sahih:Muslim:2236b (islam)
Chapter: Al-Qasama in the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance
Narrated `Amr bin Maimun:
During the pre-lslamic period of ignorance I saw a she-monkey surrounded by a number of monkeys. They were all stoning it, because it had committed illegal sexual intercourse. I too, stoned it along with them. - Sahih:Al Bukhari:3849 (islam)
-Is it a justification to stone a human being?
Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. - Bible:OT:1 Samuel 15:3 (bible)
-Is there any archeological confirmation, any mass grave?
[20]And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
[21]And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. - Bible:OT:Genesis 8:20:21 (bible torah)
-Did God enjoy the sacrifice of animal, of human being?
- Is it because of the burnt offering that God promised to never again destroy all living creatures?
- Is God the same, is he enjoys the sacrifice of animals?
- Is God just like the other Pagan Gods?
- Did he change somehow (Malachi 3:6)?
